Rehabilitation is the road back. The lobby here must instill hope and demonstrate that the building is ready to welcome anyone, regardless of physical abilities. We explore 'Universal Design': wide wheelchair pathways, low desks with height adjustment, tactile flooring for the blind, and a 'Progress Wall' where patients mark their achievements.
Space Without Barriers
The reception desk has a two-level countertop: main (75 cm) and section for wheelchairs (45 cm). The floor is absolutely level, no thresholds. Doors are automatic, minimum 120 cm wide. All this is not hidden but emphasized by design as care. Ramps are made not as a separate element but as an organic part of the hall landscape.
Motivational Environment
Goal Visualization
Lobby walls feature inspiring patient stories (with consent). Before-and-after photos, recovery timelines. There's an interactive 'Achievement Wall' where everyone can leave a magnet or sticker marking completion of another therapy stage. This gamifies the treatment process, visualizing progress.
