Backlighting from within projects these 'ancestral shadows' onto the lobby floor, creating a dynamic carpet. Cape Town designers cover furniture with thousands of glass beads, creating complex mosaics. We adapted this technique for commercial use by casting the bead canvas in transparent epoxy resin.
